SOA Academy was incorporated in 2011 in order to fulfill the requirements set up by the Commitee of Private Education (CPE), part of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). The Academy has successfully applied for registration to conduct the Bachelors of Science in Optometry Completion Program and the Masters of Science in Clinical Optometry which will be delivered by Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University.

Lectures, course notes and will be provided by Pennsylvania College Of Optometry, Salus University. They will produce the examination papers and conduct all examinations. Exam papers will be marked by PCO.  Clinics will be conducted in Pennsylvania at PCO twice for a period of two weeks each. The Degrees, Bachelor of Science in Optometry and Master of Science in Clinical Optometry will be awarded and printed by PCO.

Clinics for the Masters of Science in Clinical Optometry.
The first clinical session will be held in Singapore. This will be held over two weeks and conducted by supervisors from PCO. The second and third clinical session will each be held over a two week period at PCO’s campus, Pennsylvania. Students must make their own flight arrangements and are responsible for all expenses incurred.  

Examination are conducted in Singapore, you will be given three hours to complete the paper. Your invigilators will be deployed from PCO and from SOA academy. 

Clinical assessment will be conducted by clinical supervisors at PCO. Students must pass this section in order to graduate.

SOA Academy will facilitate all necessary arrangements and manage any disputes that may arise.

As we do not have permanent classrooms, SOA Academy will rent a suitable premises in order to conduct the lectures.

Fees and any administration charges will be paid to SOA Academy Pte Ltd.

Entry requirement.

Students must be registered with the OOB and must have at least a diploma in optometry accredited by the Optometry and Opticians Board.

Both the degree courses, B.Sc. And M.Sc can be taken independantly. If the student already possesses a bachelor of Science degree in Optometry, in which case he may opt for only the Masters Program.
